The Trust’s objective is to promote the study and advancement of research into the history, literature, philosophy and religion of the Turks, Persians and Arabs. The Trust’s books are published by Oxbow Books/David Brown Books. Currently in print are editions and translations of texts in Arabic, Persian, Turkish and other languages, as well as original works of scholarship. These are mostly in English with, in some cases, copies or original manuscripts. The Gibb Memorial Trust survives through book sales.
