Membership of the School of Abbasid Studies is on invitation only. Members are asked to notify the Secretary of the School if they know of someone who would make a valuable contribution to the School but who is not a member. Introduced as such, prospect members are invited to the next meeting of the School. Only after actually having contributed to the meeting, they are added to the list of members.
Active involvement in the School’s activities is required; the names of people who do not attend meetings on a regular basis remain on the list of members only on specific request.
